Three BC Cancer clinical investigators are participating in the Canadian Cancer Trials Group (CCTG) VISION – Investigator Leadership Training Program, a new education and mentorship initiative focused on developing leadership skills among current and emerging clinical trialists.
Drs. Leah Lambert, Jonathan Loree and Lucia Nappi are part of the inaugural VISION cohort.
- Dr. Leah Lambert is a senior scientist in the Department of Clinical Research at BC Cancer and a clinical associate professor at the University of British Columbia School of Nursing. Her research focuses on equity in cancer care, models of care innovation, and health workforce strategy, with an emphasis on integrating clinical trials into real‑world care settings.
- Dr. Jonathan Loree is a medical oncologist at BC Cancer – Vancouver and a senior investigator with the CCTG. His research interests include circulating tumour DNA and precision medicine approaches in colorectal cancer and neuroendocrine neoplasms.
- Dr. Lucia Nappi is a medical oncologist – clinician scientist MD and PhD. She is a medical oncologist in the GU group at BC Cancer – Vancouver, a senior research scientist at the Vancouver Prostate where she has her research group, and an assistant professor in the department of Urologic Sciences at the University of British Columbia.
The inclusion of multiple BC Cancer investigators in the VISION program highlights the strength of clinical research leadership within the province and the importance of supporting the professional development of future clinical trial leaders.
